The Hermesys GryphonX™ Fibre Unit is an air-blown fibre optic cable built for last-mile FTTx networks. Its small diameter and light weight let it be blown into high-density microduct bundles over long distances. It is offered in five fibre counts to suit different last-mile deployment sizes.
Key Features and Benefits
- Available in 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12 fibre counts, covering single-drop through small-distribution runs.
- Individually colour-coded fibres, following TIA colour conventions, make fibre identification straightforward during splicing and termination.
- External grooves on the unit improve air-blowing performance, which helps the cable travel further per blowing setup in microduct networks.
- Lightweight construction with balanced stiffness supports repeat installation, so the same duct route can be reused for future upgrades.
- No-gel design keeps stripping and handling simple, reducing installer time compared to gel-filled alternatives.
- Compact accessory set lowers manpower and installation effort, giving a cost advantage over traditional air-blown fibre products.
- Compatible with 5/3.5mm and 3/2.1mm microducts, matching it to the common duct sizes used in FTTx last-mile builds.
