The Hermesys HydraX™ 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical transceiver provides parallel 100 Gigabit Ethernet transmission over multimode fiber. It supports link distances of up to 70 metres over OM3 MMF and 100 metres over OM4 MMF, making it suitable for short-reach data centre and high-speed network interconnections. The hot-pluggable module uses four independent transmit and receive channels operating at 25.78125 Gbit/s per channel. An 850nm VCSEL laser array and male MPO/MTP® optical interface provide an aggregate data rate of up to 103.125 Gbit/s in a compact QSFP28 form factor.
