Hybrid Fiber Optic and Cat6 U/FTP LSOH Cable, ChimeraX™

The ChimeraX™ Hybrid High Speed Cable combines fiber optic and Cat6 copper data elements within a single fire retardant, low smoke zero halogen (LSOH) jacket, giving a unified transmission medium for combined fiber and high-speed Ethernet distribution in one cable run.

Key Features and Benefits

• Integrated 2-fiber (G657A2) and Cat6 U/FTP copper hybrid core lets a single cable pull deliver both a fiber backbone link and a high-speed Ethernet connection, cutting down the number of separate cable runs needed for combined data deployments.
• Individually shielded Cat6 pairs with an Al/Mylar wrap and tinned copper drain wire protect the copper data pairs from electromagnetic interference, helping preserve signal integrity when the cable is routed near power equipment or other electrical noise sources.
• Bend-insensitive G657A2 fiber tolerates tight bend radii without added attenuation, easing routing through crowded conduits, risers, and tight equipment corners.
• Compact overall diameter saves space in cable trays, conduits, and building risers compared to running separate fiber and copper cables side by side.
• LSOH construction on both the fiber sub-unit sheath and the overall jacket limits smoke and halogen emission if exposed to fire, supporting safer evacuation conditions in enclosed or occupied spaces.
• Wide operating temperature range supports reliable performance across both standard indoor installs and more demanding environments.
• Tensile strength retention and crack-free performance after thermal aging and cold bend testing point to mechanical durability through installation stress and long-term environmental exposure.
