Shielded Alarm Cable, Security&Fire Resistant, 1.0-2.5mm², ChimeraX™

The Hermesys ChimeraX™ Shielded Security Alarm Cable is an overall-screened multicore cable for connecting intruder alarm, access control and other low-voltage security systems inside buildings and protected sites. Available in several conductor sizes and core counts, it lets installers match one cable family to everything from short detector runs to longer sounder and panel circuits.

Key Features and Benefits

• Overall Al-Mylar screen with a bare copper drain wire suppresses electromagnetic interference, reducing false alarms caused by nearby power cables and equipment
• Drain wire allows the screen to be terminated quickly and reliably to earth at the control panel
• Conductor sizes from 1.0 mm² to 2.5 mm² cover both low-current detector loops and higher-current sounder and power feeds where voltage drop matters
• 2-core and 4-core options support simple signal loops as well as combined power-and-signal runs to a single device
• Four-colour core coding (black, red, white, green) speeds up identification and termination on site
• Flame-retardant PVC insulation limits flame spread along the cable route
• Flexible construction with a 10× diameter bend radius simplifies routing through ceilings, walls and trunking
• -20°C to +70°C operating range suits both conditioned interiors and unheated plant areas

Typical Applications

• Intruder and Burglar Alarm Systems
• Access Control and Door Entry Systems
• CCTV Control and Auxiliary Circuits
• Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Military Properties
