The Hermesys ChimeraX™ SWA Fire Resistant Cable is a steel wire armoured, fully dry fiber optic cable available in 4, 12, and 96-fiber configurations. Its fire-resistant, fully dry design is built to withstand demanding physical and thermal conditions, making it well suited for environments where both mechanical protection and fire safety are critical.

- Fire barrier tape wrapped around the cable core adds an extra layer of flame containment beyond the outer jacket alone
- FRP central strength member keeps the cable lightweight and non-conductive while resisting tensile stress
- Water blocking yarn and tape around the cable core prevent moisture ingress along the cable’s length
- Wide operating range from -20°C to +70°C supports installation in both controlled and harsh outdoor or industrial settings
- High mechanical strength, with up to 6000 N short-term tensile load and 4000 N/100mm short-term crush resistance, suited for long-span or heavy-duty installations
