The Hermesys ChimeraX™ FR Armor 24F Cable is a fire-retardant, double-armored loose tube fiber optic cable built for harsh industrial and outdoor environments where mechanical protection and fire safety both matter.

• Water block yarn and tape (semi-dry construction) around the core limit water ingress and migration along the cable if the sheath is compromised
• Inner and outer mica fire barrier tape shield the fiber core from heat, supporting the cable’s flame-retardant and fire-resistant performance
• 2 layers of corrugated steel tape armor give strong mechanical and rodent-resistant protection for buried and exposed outdoor runs
• LSZH inner jacket and LSOH outer sheath (with an oil-resistant OFNP PVC option) keep smoke and halogen emissions low for enclosed or populated spaces, with an alternative jacket suited to oil-exposed environments
• Compact 16.8mm outer diameter and 305 kg/km weight keep the cable manageable to handle and route despite its double-armor construction
• Rated to 3000N installation tension and 3000N/100mm short-term crush resistance, so the cable withstands pulling loads and mechanical impact during deployment
