Hermesys LadonX™ indoor/outdoor light armoured fibre optic cable is a stranded loose tube design for telecom backbone, access line and Fibre to the Building / Fibre to the Premises (FTTB / FTTx) networks. The cable can be installed indoors, pulled into outdoor underground ducts, direct buried, or run overhead with the necessary accessories. It is available in singlemode and multimode (OM1–OM5) from 2 up to 144 fibres.
Light armoured cable uses a single corrugated steel tape layer over the core, which gives
rodent protection and crush resistance while keeping the cable light and flexible enough
for duct pulling and indoor routing. Double armoured constructions add a second armour
layer for heavier mechanical loads, at the cost of weight, bending radius and installation
effort.
Yes. The corrugated steel tape armour and UV-stabilised LSOH jacket make the cable
suitable for direct burial. For termite-prone soil, specify the optional AT-AR
anti-termite / anti-rodent jacket additive when ordering.
Standard fibre counts are 2, 12, 24, 32, 48, 72, 96 and 144, with a maximum of 12 fibres
per loose tube. Singlemode options include G.652D, G.655, G.657A1, G.657A2, G.657B1 and
G.657B2; multimode options cover OM1 through OM5. Fibre colour coding follows the
EIA/TIA-598 standard.
LSOH is specified where cable runs pass through occupied buildings, tunnels or enclosed
spaces, because it limits smoke density and emits no halogen acid gases in a fire. A PE
jacket is the conventional choice for purely external routes. Since this cable is
UV-stabilised, the LSOH version covers both the outside plant run and the indoor
continuation without a transition splice.
Standard delivery length is 4 km per drum with a tolerance of ± 5%, supplied on wooden
drums with protection. Other lengths can be produced on request.
