The Hermesys HydraX™ 100G QSFP28 BiDi ER optical transceiver extends 100 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity up to 30km over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It provides an efficient long-reach solution for metro, telecom and 5G transport networks where fiber availability is limited. Complementary 1304.58nm and 1309.14nm modules transmit and receive in opposite directions through a simplex LC interface. The EML transmitter and high-sensitivity APD receiver support reliable long-distance operation within a hot-pluggable QSFP28 form factor.
